Coastal Family Health Center and the Salvation Army continue to help in the fight against COVID and the seasonal flu.
Today, South Mississippians lined up to get flu vaccines at the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Biloxi. The shots were free of charge and just one of many services Coastal Family Health Center’s mobile medical unit is offering throughout the month of January, also including free COVID tests for those in our area.
Salvation Army Director of Public Relations Jillian Rodriguez said, “I believe it’s a really great service because I know that there are a lot of people who are scared about COVID, getting the flu and if they’re confused about either one, and so getting your flu shot helps prevent you from getting that, and if you’re worried about COVID, you can come out and do their testing and kind of ease your anxiety about it.”
